Hi, it’s Dave Bauer from the Change Circle. I welcome you to join us now in our Quiet Mind series. Our intention is to give one novel, creative way we might live with a quieter, more peaceful mind.
In doing so, we find that our behaviors, our reactions with ourselves, and our reactions with others are kinder and more gentle. So today, let’s begin with the behavior of rest and resting. In our culture, we take very little time to rest.
In Western culture, rest is often significantly overlooked. So today, I invite you to take several moments during your day, perhaps begin tomorrow, and intentionally offer the intention of just resting. You can do so with a few cleansing breaths, nice, full, cleansing belly breaths.
You can do so by getting to a window or get outside and just look up, out into the space, into the sky. You can do so by looking at a young child and just observing the magnificence and the innocence of that young child. So today, rest.
Be intentional about finding novel ways for you to rest. I hope you’ll stay with us in further postings that we offer in this Quiet Mind series. Till we meet again, be well.
